Ronse Massey Developments - Custom Homes - Waterloo
A heritage home converted to a four unit townhouse in Kitsilano. Originally built in 1924 by architects Benzie & Bow as a single residential home called “Waterloo”, we were able to convert, restore, and add to the structure to create four separate homes. With a full structural upgrade and a new underground parkade the original home was brought up to current building codes. By restoring and updating original windows as well as matching these windows with new custom built wood windows, a consistent pattern throughout each home was created. The house was raised and moved across the lot to its new position and key heritage features such as structure, windows, half timbering, the chimney, and established landscaping were retained.
While each unit carries its own individual layout, view, and feel, similarities are prominent through finishing and each units' access to the concrete underground parkade. A challenging project, with heritage, commercial construction, and multi-family regulations we are happy to have the creativity, knowledge and skills to make this project a success.
